Epiphone | Casino
Active 1962-1969
Description
Epiphone's original semi-acoustic, the Casino has changed little over the years. The combination of the hollow body and twin P90 pickups deliver a warm yet bright sound that sparkles. The Epiphone Casino’s unique design put it in a class of it’s own, sporting a smaller body depth and a big clear tone. It’s ability to feedback and be overdriven immediately attracted the attention of Paul.
The Epiphone Casino has double cutaways, hollow mahogany body featuring cream binding and a mahogany top with a pickguard. With a 24.75' scale mahogany set neck and a 20-fret maple bound fretboardfeaturing parallelogram inlays. The electronics include two P90 pickups, one toggle pickup switch, two volume knobs, two tone knobs, a tune-o-matic bridge with a trapeze tailpiece, three-per-side tuners and chrome hardware. Produced in Cherry (1967 to 1969), Sunburst (1962 to 1969) and Royal Tan (1962 to 1969) finishes.

P-90 Single Coil Pickup
Legendary Tone Tronchetto casino venezia.
First introduced in the early 1950s, Gibson's legendary P90 single coil pickup produced a raw powerful tone that helped define the blues and rock and roll in their formative years. Today, the P90's traditional combination of high output and brilliant tone is still considered a favorite among many top musicians. Known by such familiar nicknames as the 'Soapbar' and the 'Cobalt,' the P90 still cuts through any type of music, all while displaying amazing tonal sensitivity for everything from blues and rock to mellow jazz riffs. It's perfect as a vintage replacement, and features vintage, braided two-conductor wiring. It's also fully wax potted to eliminate any chance of unwanted microphonic feedback.
